DEAR Texas Donates to WISD & Village Library

In conjunction with the first Wimberley Book Festival produced by the Texas Authors, Inc. and  D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) Texas  program, founder B. Alan Bourgeois presented gift certificates to Dwain York, WISD Superintendent and Carolyn Manning, Village Library Director.

Each received a certificate for $250 in free books which can be selected from a number of books by more than 200 Texas authors, all members of the Texas Authors Association. Books made available to the school district and the library range from children’s to SciFi to mystery,  to self help and many other genres.
The certificates were presented as a result of donations made the day of the festival. The festival will be held again next June and author spaces are already 50% sold out, with many from across the state returning from this first event.
